Step1. Connect your Samsung Galaxy to the computer

Before doing anything else, connect your Samsung Galaxy to the computer. Then run the program and you'll get the main interface below. You device will be detected immediately.

Step2. Enable USB debugging

If you didn't enable USB debugging on your device before, you need to set it now. There are different ways for devices with different Android OS versions. Choose the one for yours and follow it.
1) For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter "Settings" < Click "Applications" < Click "Development" < Check "USB debugging"
2) For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging"
3) For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter "Settings" < Click "About Phone" < Tap "Build number" for several times until getting a note "You are under developer mode" < Back to "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging"

Step3. Prepare to scan your Samsung Galaxy

Before scan, the program needs to analyze your device first. What you need to do is clicking "Start" on the window. Then wait for the end of the Analysis.
